When you first get started how do you get your heart rate up when your feet hurt?

Start slow, you may need to get your upper body involved. Raise you arms above your heart. That will help to raise your heart rate when you are unable to walk at the pace you would like. Alternate pumping your arms up and down. You can always carry light weights as well. If you need, please incorporate some chair exercises in your morning cardio as well. Please check with your coach and they can share some chair exercises with you or ways to get your heart rate up.
