I don't want to lose weight, but want to gain muscle and get healthy. I am a vegan or vegetarian. Can I raise my calories some?

Yes you can, when you were looking to strictly build muscle you must have the bricks. Proteins are the building bricks of muscle mass and you must be eating more calories than you need to build the extra bricks so absolutely you may increase calorie intake accordingly.
