Decaf Beverages.
One caffeinated beverage is built into the daily meal plan for die hard coffee fans. Beyond the first cup, coffee and tea are not restricted, but for every ounce you drink, add an ounce of water to your daily total.
A typical decaf will have a few mg of caffeine. If you are drinking a lot of decaf beverages you add a little extra water in your day if you desire, and if there is a need to “sweeten”, use a natural, zero-calorie sweetener such as: (see page 25 in the Master Plan)
• Stevia
• Erythritol
• Monk Fruit Extract
• AVOID Aspartame & Sucralose
Other beverage choices may include (page 25 of the Master Plan):
• Decaffeinated Tea and Coffee - It's ok although, the kidneys love pure, clean water.
• Flavored Water with No Sugar – Sugar turns off the fat burning switch in your body.
• Fresh Lemonade or Limeade – Mix juice of 1 lemon or lime and 2 packets of stevia with 1
quart of water.
• Fresh Strawberry Lemonade – Mix the Juice of 1 lemon, 1 sliced strawberry, and 2 stevia
packets with 1 quart of water.
